SHORT BIO
Thomas Köll was born in 1985 in Austria. Before he studied singing and music education at the Mozarteum in Innsbruck, as well as choir conducting at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, he was a percussionist. He discovered his passion for singing in the World Youth Choir, where he participated in the Summer Sessions in Spain 2010 and Cyprus 2012. Since 2015 Thomas has been employed as a tenor in the Swedish Radio Choir. He maintains also an active performance schedule with other ensembles, including Vocapella Innsbruck, Eric Ericsons Chamber Choir, RIAS Chamber Choir and Collegium Vocale Gent.
Köll is also diligently employed as a soloist in various contexts ranging from Renaissance to contemporary music. In 2018, he was heard in the roll of the Bishop in the world premiere of the opera The Siblings In Mantua at Drottningholms Slottsteater in Stockholm.
